Baseball is a small sport in Switzerland — that is why we put youth at the center. Every kid gets a place, a path and a team.
From the first swing at age five to an NLA debut: we guide young people through five development stages — with trained coaches, clear values and plenty of fun.
Baseball is a sport that teaches humility: fail 7 out of 10 times at bat and you are still among the world elite. No other sport shows it so clearly — failure is not an opponent. It is part of the game.
Still, young players often equate success with the hit. They tense up under pressure, play small, do not want to disappoint anyone. This is exactly where personal development starts for us: the real opponent is tension — and tension lives where mistakes are forbidden.
That is why we redefine success. Success is not the result but the quality of the attempt: the preparation, the process, the execution of what you can control — regardless of the outcome.
Those who are allowed to fail gain the freedom to play boldly. Our kids and teens learn this with the Kobras — on the field and for life.
We know: youth sport is a family affair. That is why we organize everything digitally — attendance, carpools, volunteer shifts and schedules run through a single member dashboard. Fair volunteer distribution via a points system, clear communication and an open ear for every family.
Try-out softball — girls only. Throwing, catching, hitting and lots of fun, no experience needed. We, the Zürich Barracudas · Rümlang Kobras, open the season every year with the first Girls Got Game Day here in Rümlang. The program then tours all of Switzerland — other clubs invite girls to join in their cities.
On 28 March 2026 we hosted the season opener of the entire Swiss Girls Got Game tour. A strong day with top coaching from our coaching team. Photos: Hans Dübendorfer.
